Tech Meeting #7: Smart City & Open Data

What is a Smart City and what does it have to do with Open Data? A Smart City uses technologies in order to create new applications, in a way that is good for the quality of life of its citizens, its economy but also the city finances!

Smart city applications need data as its raw material: the data is themost basic « food » a city needs to become smart. Data can be collected in many situations, and technology permits to obtain it in an affordable way.

The presentation will present how different kinds of collaboration between actors treat data differently, and how that yields to different degrees of « city-smarteness » by showing exemples around the world.
