If you are currently using Web and Cloud-based platforms for information publishing and access, chances are that you will want to hear about the new IoT Cloud platforms for a future project.
The principle is that all people, places and things that communicate can do so using their connections to the Internet and the services that are provided in the Cloud.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the opportunities developers have to put their IoT application intelligence partly or entirely in the Cloud.
Our speakers for this meeting include:
Dominique Guinard, co-founder and CTO of Evrthng, a young Zurich start up, and co-founder of Web-of-Things portal
Matthias Kovatsch, researcher in the Institute for Pervasive Computing at ETHZ, and the architect of Copper, a generic browser for the IoT based on Constrained Application Protocol (CoAP)
In addition to these talks, we will have a special presentation by Benjamin Wiederkehr, co-founder of Interactive Things, an experience design and architecture services firm based in Zurich. Benjamin will speak about and describe the results of the recent Ville Vivante project with the City of Geneva
Our meeting place is the ETHZ Hauptgebaude Room D 5.2
After the presentations, we will have informal networking with beverages and snacks provided.
